Buying Truck Wheels and Other Winter Projects

10th Jan 2018

If you are like most people, you have been spending a whole lot of time indoors as of late. It all began the third week of November, when the days grew shorter and the weather turned cold. You stopped going outside so often and instead planted yourself in front of the dinner table for a very memorable celebration meal on Thanksgiving Day.

From there, things just got worse.

When you went to work in the morning, it was dark outside. When you came home from work, it was dark outside. And it was cold as well. Nobody wants to spend time outside when it is cold and dark.

You spent the days in December sipping fancy holiday drinks and eating an assortment of goodies. You also decorated the house.

Of course, you watched your fair share of football too. At least up until last week, when your team failed to make it to the playoffs and the final game of the college football season ended leaving Alabama the national champion.

Now all you have to look forward to is a few months of short days, cold weather and kids who are just as bored as you whining about being bored.

But that is all about to change because BB Wheels, your source for great truck wheels, has compiled a wonderful list of indoor projects for you to keep you busy for the remainder of the winter season. In fact, there are so many projects that we guarantee you will stay very busy right up to spring when you have to start in on your outdoor projects.

Buy Truck Wheels

Some people probably think this first project is just a lame plug for the products we sell. And they would be right, but at least we do a really good job of keeping you entertained while promoting our fine products.

Seriously, you may have scored a bit of money for Christmas and you are sure to get some tax money back in a month or two, so it makes perfect sense to spend your good fortune on a set of truck wheels.

Take a moment to peruse our website and soak in all of the truck wheels we offer. The most difficult part of this winter project is narrowing down your choices to just a few. With a wonderful selection that includes Fuel wheels, Moto Metal wheels, Hostile wheels and Monster wheels, you could spend weeks trying to decide which set to choose.

Of course, the spouse might not be so open-minded about your decision to buy wheels. All you need to do is say that buying new wheels is a far less expensive choice than buying a new truck.

Do Some Painting

The cold weather makes it an ideal time to paint. The dryness of the winter months actually makes it a perfect time to crack a few windows and throw on a fresh coat of paint and brighten up the interior of your home.

Select a bold color for the family room, a warm color for your bedroom and add some dimension to the living room by painting the ceiling. If you are feeling extra creative, use painter’s tape to create stripes or other patterns on the walls. Face it, your home could use some visual interest.

Change the Light Bulbs

Spend the money and take the time to swap out all of the light bulbs inside and outside your home with energy-efficient ones. You will save money in the long run and it’s a great opportunity to go green.

Add Insulation

Sure, adding extra insulation to your home isn't the most exciting thing you will do this winter, it might not even get your heart pounding just a little harder, but it will lower your utility bills. And saving money is pretty cool.

Spice Up the Kitchen

As you may already know, the kitchen has become the hub of the home, the place where the family just loves to gather. Which is nice except for one small problem; you have a very drab looking kitchen.

But this can be changed without having to spend tens of thousands of dollars on a kitchen remodel. For example, you can spice up your kitchen simply by adding a do-it-yourself backsplash for just a few hundred dollars.

There are probably well over 500 styles from which to choose and they can range from classy to stone to metal and will change the look of your entire kitchen.

New Flooring

Just like painting, winter is a good time to change out your carpet or have hardwood floors installed. And while this isn't an inexpensive project, it will add value to your home and give it an updated look.

Seal Up Cracks and Holes

Finding cracks and holes where all of that cold air is coming in is quite easy in the winter. All you need to do is walk around a feel for drafts. Spend some time discovering these types of leaks that occur around windows and doors and do what you can to plug them up. It will save you money on utility bills and it will keep your feet warmer on those really cold nights.

So instead of lounging around the house all winter looking pathetic and whining like a baby, pick yourself up and start a winter project or two. And when you have finished installing that kitchen backsplash or finished painting the living room, reward yourself by buying a set of truck wheels. Check out our wonderful selection at BB Wheels
