You just bought a set of Nitto Terra Grappler 275/55r20 tires and you are ready to do a little off-road driving. Off-road driving is a memorable experience everybody should try at least once in their lifetimes, a bucket list entry if you will. Though nearly impossible to sit here and give you a list of all the best destinations to go off-road driving, we hope you can settle for just a few prime spots right here in our own backyard.

One of the higher places to go off road driving is in the wonderful state of Colorado (pun intended). Imogene Pass is the second most-elevated of any vehicle-accessible mountain passes in the state, reaching an astounding 13,000 plus feet. Your trail can start in Telluride, where supplies can be purchased, and there are plenty of places to stop and have a picnic on the way. Just remember, you need to have a four-wheel drive and skid plates are a must.

Moab, Utah is an obvious choice, but any list of off-road destinations would be incomplete without a mention of it. With sandstone formations and picturesque landscapes, it is a must-visit place for outdoor enthusiasts.

If the road you travel takes you to Northern California, you need to spend some time on the Rubicon Trail. There is good reason Jeep names one of its Wranglers after this trail. The trail is tough, so you better show up in a vehicle that can crawl over rock slabs.

Check back from time to time and we will list even more fine destinations for those you love off-road driving.
