You Have an Awesome Truck With a Great Set of Grid Wheels, So You are Able to Get to All the Great Picnic Areas in Your Part of the Country

During the months of fall, you are known for the epic tailgate parties you throw at the local stadium while waiting for your favorite football team to play. You need to carry this over into summer and plan an epic picnic for your family or with good friends. We know what you are thinking, a picnic sounds rather dull and stuffy. Actually, a picnic is much like a tailgate party, only you park your truck in nature instead of at a football stadium. Look, you have an awesome truck with a great set of Grid wheels, so you are able to get to all the great picnic areas in your part of the country. Plan your picnic appropriately and you will have a wonderful time. Besides, what else do you have planned this weekend besides mowing the lawn?

Like with any tailgate party, the choices in food are critical to the success of the activity. So if you want an epic picnic, you will need epic food. Chicken is a staple when it comes to picnic foods, it is a must have item on your menu. We don’t care if you serve fried chicken, baked chicken, BBQ chicken or chicken fingers, just make sure chicken is available for consumption.

Besides chicken, the sky really is the limit when thinking about what picnic foods to pack. Sandwiches are a good choice, easy to prepare and just as easy to eat, just don’t forget to pack some condiments. Salads are another good picnic food, you can go traditional with a pasta or potato salad, or you can be creative and serve something less picnicky.

We are sure you will want to bring beer to the picnic, but don't forget about your friends who might prefer something else. You might want to consider bringing a bottle of wine as it is a picnic-friendly beverage, just don’t forget a corkscrew. And don’t forget something for those who abstain from alcohol, iced tea is a good choice.

Here are a few more essentials you need to pack when heading out to host an epic picnic.

Picnic Blanket- You simply cannot have an epic picnic with a picnic blanket. And throwing a few bath towels on the ground doesn’t cut the mustard, so man up and buy a good picnic blanket for the occasion.

Picnic Basket- You need one of these unless you want to suffer the ridicule you will get if you show up to your picnic with the food stuffed in your backpack. Nobody puts picnic food in a backpack.

Serving Plates- Again, go to the store and buy quality picnic serving plates, paper plates are so Neanderthal.

Utensils- Duh. Remember, you aren’t just serving hot dogs, forks, knives and spoons are a must.

Bug Spray- Nothing will kill an epic picnic faster than a swarm of mosquitoes or other flying insects. Make like a Boy Scout and be prepared.

Now, pack up your pickup truck with all the gear and head to that magic spot in the mountains to hold your epic picnic.
