Spring Cleaning Includes Scrubbing Your Fuel Wheels

All across this wonderful country of ours, winter is beginning to wind down and we can feel a rise in the temperature and more daylight to do the things we love. Before you know it, spring will be here.

And if you are like most Americans, you will set aside several hours over the course of a few weekends to do some much-needed spring cleaning in and around your home. After all, you have been cooped up for the better part of four months and the conditions inside your home have become quite funky, to say the least.

Just as you have lived life hard and with little disregard for cleanliness in your home over the winter, you have been just as neglectful with your truck. That is, the last time your truck has had a good cleaning was when you bought those Fuel wheels from BB Wheels late last summer. You had a set of shiny new wheels mounted on a mud-caked truck, so you took it to the car wash for a much-needed scrubbing.

Since then, you have driven in some pretty messy conditions, tracked mud and dirt through your truck and dropped an order of Burger King fries between the driver’s seat and console and didn't even bother to clean it up. To top things off, you took Fido to the dog park last week failing to realize that with the snow melting, it would be a muddy mess. And of course, Fido repays your kindness by tracking fresh mud all over your upholstery.

So we recommend that you set aside some time this spring to thoroughly clean your truck, inside and out. Here are a few ways to help you care for your truck.

Evaluation

An evaluation of your truck will help you determine exactly what needs to be done. Your truck is a hot mess, so it needs everything done, the whole ten yards if you will. In your case, the evaluation is just an excuse to admire your truck.

Organize

Clean out all of the compartments in your truck. If you were to check your glove box, we are certain there are at least six expired insurance cards and two outdated registrations. You can toss all of that.

There is a half-eaten ham sandwich in the glove box, you vaguely remember tossing it in there about three months ago. There is also half a banana in the glove box, you have no idea how that got there.

You will have other compartments that have gloves or hats in them that can be removed and other junk that you can get rid of.

Under the Hood

This is the place where all of that trapped dirt can do some harm. A clean engine is an engine that runs smoothly and lasts longer.

While you have the hood up, check on the battery cables, belts and hoses, certainly no harm in a little preventative maintenance.

Shine Your Truck Wheels

Whether your truck sports a set of Fuel wheels, Moto Metal wheels or Gear wheels, pay some extra attention to them. It is not enough to just spray down your truck wheels, you need to get some hot, soapy water or another type of cleaner, get down of your knees and scrub as hard as you can.

You can bet your wheels are going to be dirty and when you have them all cleaned up they will shine and look like new once again.

Exterior

Now that your wheels are clean, the dirt on your truck will stand out. It needs to be washed. The way you wash your truck is up to you. You can choose to take it to a car wash and get it done or fill a bucket with soapy water at home and get it done.

Once the job is complete, your truck will once again turn heads when you drive it down the street.

If not, then maybe it’s time for a new set of wheels from BB Wheels. Visit our website and shop our impressive inventory of truck wheels from all the popular manufacturers including Remington Wheels, Method Wheels and Monster Wheels.
