Nitto Ridge Grappler Tires and Mountains

18th Jul 2017

There are any number of things people do in the summer. Many families will gather on the patio for barbecues, some take vacations to other cities for visits while others will seek out parks for picnics and recreational activities.

But none of these activities are for you. You can’t think of anything more dreadful than dragging your family to a park so they can dodge dog bombs in the grass while pretending to have fun playing on broken swings, hot slides and on monkey bars covered in stickiness from some kid’s popsicle.

The idea of visiting another city to see relatives isn’t appealing either. The last time you paid a visit to Aunt Barbara and Uncle Joe, you wound up spending much of the time at the local mall and eating dinner at Applebee’s, three nights in a row.

So you think you and the family deserve a better way to spend some time together this summer.

It’s a good thing you own a pickup truck, one with a great set of Nitto Ridge Grappler tires. Because of this great combination, you are able to travel to places cars cannot. For example, you can take the family on that trail that leads to that really cool spot on the top of that mountain. You can experience the real outdoors, the great outdoors.

There are all sorts of opportunities in nature. Here are just a few things you can do when you take the family on a trip to the mountains.

Tree Climbing

You will find all sorts of trees on your mountain top trip. Many of these trees have branches that start low to the ground and are sturdy enough to hold the weight of an adult. Climbing a tree is fun, just remember how much fun you had doing it as a kid.

Best of all; when you get back to work after your trip and colleagues asked what you did while on tour trip you can tell them you climbed a tree

Camping

Camping in the mountains is especially satisfying because the fire staves off the coolness of the night and the stars seem to be much closer than usual. Also, you are so far removed from civilization it really does feel like you are out there all alone.

Go for a Hike

Hiking in the mountains is a great escape and it gives you the opportunity to unplug and unwind. Not only that, but mountain hiking is a great way to get some exercise, you might even shed a pound or two over the course of your stay.

Bird Watching

Get to know the birds in the region by studying them for awhile. Bring a few pairs of binoculars and check out our feathered friends for a day.

Search for Wildlife

The mountains are home to a great number of animals. Depending on where you are, you could track a moose, bighorn sheep or even an elk. If these large animals scare you, you can always try to track down a marmot or a badger. If these are intimidating, go find a chipmunk to observe.

The point is that you should take some time to watch for wildlife.

Running

If you happen to encounter a bear or other potentially dangerous animal while searching for wildlife, it will be the perfect opportunity to see just how fast you can run.

Enjoy the Weather

The temperature on the top of a mountain will be a lot cooler than in the city. No matter how hot it is down below, you can bet the temperatures will not hit the high 90s where you are.

Now go on, load up the truck and take the family on a great trip to nature.
