The confusing part...Every wheel has "offset", how it sits on your truck depends more on your truck's original specs than it does the wheel. Lets compare the 3 trucks below with the same hypothetical original OEM wheel width and typical OEM offset for each vehicle. As you will see after reviewing the comparison, if you were to purchase the same aftermarket 9" wide, -12mm offset wheels for each truck, there is a rather large variance in outward stance change. For example, on the 2015 Toyota Tundra, the same 9" wide wheel and -12mm offset moves the new wheels out 2.94" further than stock while on the 2001 Ford F250 only moves out 1.56". Please keep in mind, if you go with a wider tire than what your truck originally had stock, this will increase the width change even further.
